Appearance[]

Canon[]

Lionblaze is a broad-shouldered, muscular, bright, golden tabby tom with amber eyes the color of the sun. He has thick fur, thick fluff ringing around his neck, a nicked ear, and massive, pale paws with fur that bunches around his claws.

Starkit's Prophecy[]

Lionblaze is long clawed mane coon tom with amber eyes. He has a scar from his neck to his belly. He has a lions mane and is the size of a horse.

Personality[]

Canon[]

Lionblaze is strong, skilled, and full of courage when it comes to fighting in battles. He is fiercely loyal and protective of his Clan, willing to risk his own life to defend it. He also values victory as an important aspect in battles, though he later learned that showing mercy and compassion is also a good trait.

Starkit's Prophecy[]

Lionblaze is a strong deputy and a courageous and fiercely loyal warrior, as shown when he sacrificed his life to save his Clan in Chapter 18.

Relationships[]

Canon[]

Heatherpaw[]

As apprentices, Lionpaw and Heatherpaw developed a strong friendship with each other and continuously met in secret in the tunnels under the land between ThunderClan and WindClan territory. One of their games included the two being members of DarkClan, where Heatherpaw was the leader and Lionpaw was a warrior as Lionclaw. However, the two eventually realized that their loyalties were to their Clans, not each other, and their brief relationship ended soon after with an argument.

Ashfur[]

Lionpaw and Ashfur had an uneasy relationship during the former's apprenticeship. Ashfur often trained Lionpaw hard and fought him with unsheathed claws, and these sessions resulted in Lionblaze becoming an exceptionally skilled fighter, made even stronger after training with Tigerstar and discovering that he had invincibility powers. Shortly after the thunderstorm incident, Lionblaze grew a strong dislike for Ashfur due to the fact that he nearly killed him, his siblings, and his mother, Squirrelflight.

Tigerstar[]

During his apprenticeship, Lionpaw's dreams were visited by Tigerstar, who taught him difficult moves and trained him to become a strong and hardworking warrior. However, after realizing that Tigerstar only wanted revenge on Firestar and was using his invicibility powers to his advantage, Lionpaw rejected Tigerstar's dark training and was willing to fight against him in the Great Battle.

Starkit's Prophecy[]

Gleamstar/ThunderClan[]

Lionblaze has little shown relationships in this book. However, he is briefly shown in the battle against Tigerstar that he honored Gleamstar as a leader and ThunderClan as his home Clan, proved when he sacrificed his life to save the latter.

History[]

Canon[]

Lionblaze was born to Leafpool and Crowfeather as Lionkit alongside his brother, Jaykit, and his sister, Hollykit. However, his parental identity was hidden, and Squirrelflight and Brambleclaw were assumed to be his parents. As an apprentice, Lionpaw had Ashfur as a mentor, who trained him hard to become a skilled and fearless warrior. Lionpaw also discovered his abilities of invincibility during his apprenticeship, which may have been the cause of Tigerstar seeking him out in his dreams. Initially, Lionpaw accepted Tigerstar's offer, but he later rejected his supposed grandfather as he discovered that Tigerstar only wanted vengeance on Firestar. Before his apprenticeship ended, Lionpaw had a brief relationship with the WindClan apprentice Heatherpaw, though the two separated after discovering that their loyalties lay with their own Clans, not each other. As a warrior, Lionpaw received the new name of Lionblaze. Later on, Lionblaze and his siblings were revealed to have been to kits of Leafpool and Crowfeather, though he may have been the least influenced even after hearing this.

Lionblaze in the Moonkitti adaptation of Starkits Prophcy

Starkit's Prophecy[]

Lionblaze makes his first appearance in the book during the beginning of Chapter 10, shortly after Firestar was captured by Hollyleaf. Though not making a physical appearance, he is called on to follow Stargleam to save Firestar from Hollyleaf. In Chapter 11, Lakepaw, who was possessed by Hollyleaf, runs toward Lionblaze but is stopped by Stargleam. In Chapter 16, Stargleam briefly makes Lionblaze her deputy before she goes to the Moonpool, and he takes the Clan back to the camp. In Chapter 18, Hollyleaf turns into a fox as she and Tigerstar attack the ThunderClan camp, and she kills Lionblaze by clawing at him. Just before his death, Lionblaze tells Gleamstar that he did it for her, and it made him gay with happiness. This makes Gleamstar upset because he said that he was gay, and she gasps if he was homosexual. However, she admits that he was her uncle, and she would avenge his death anyway. At the end of Chapter 22, Lionblaze is mistakenly shown to be alive, and he realizes that there is a war between StarClan and the Dark Forest.
